ELIE SAAB FALL 2011 HAUTE COUTURE REVIEW

Yet again, Elie Saab did not fail to disappoint fashion lovers around the globe with his Fall Haute Couture collection. I personally was in heaven drooling over the silk, chiffon and tulle gowns that will most definitely been seen draped over a celebrity on the red carpet. The colour palette ranged from pale creams and champagnes to deep and mysterious royal blues. The whole collection had a 'princess' feel to it as most of the dresses were adorned with intricate beading. The show stopper look would have to be the sequinned dress modelled by Anja Rubik, who is also the face of Elie Saab's new perfume named 'le parfum', the one shoulder floor length dress was made with chiffon, tucked in at the waist and had a mesh overcoat layer. Saab's scent is said to have rose, honey and jasmine notes, which mirror the feministic style of his work. I could only dream of wearing one of his dresses someday!
